Core Functions
Working with Enterprise 6

Functions buttons

This palette appears as the lower portion of the Buttons Palette. It can be used as a quick way to start a new process from wherever you are in Enterprise 6 if you need to add or look up some core data. Multi-processes must be switched on for the palette to have any effect.

You can use this palette to access the Companies, Contacts, Products or Diary screens. Clicking the appropriate icon starts up a function in the same way as accessing its menu item.

Note that the [Enter Products] and [View Products] tools can be modified to [Enter Orders] and [View Orders] via a check box in the General section of the Preferences screen in the Data Manager.

As with all palettes, the Functions Palette can be moved by pressing <Command-Control> while dragging with the mouse in the shaded area at the top of the palette (Macintosh only). Should you require an instant reminder of the role of a button, hold the mouse over the button without clicking for a few seconds and text will appear showing the button’s name. The General Preference, Palette Help Delay, can be used control the time gap between moving the mouse over a button and the appearance of the help message.
