Use the 'View companies' option on the companies menu to look at data stored with Enterprise 6.
Imagine that you are on the phone to FastBurger Ltd. You want to check that their fax number is correct, and so therefore you want to access their company details as quickly as possible. If you haven't done so already, select 'View companies'.
When you enter a name to look for, you'll find that Enterprise 6 is not case sensitive - so you don't have to worry about typing the correct capital letters. So, in this case, you could find FastBurger Ltd just by typing "fast". Try this. As there is only one entry in the database beginning with "fast", the company details are immediately brought up on to the screen, where you can check the fax number.
If the search is not fast (the information should normally appear within two or three seconds at most), check with your System Administrator that you have enough memory allocated to Enterprise 6.
You can change the details here if you need to. When you have finished, just press the [Accept] button; you will see the Core Volume logo reappear.
Select 'View companies' again, and this time type "p". When you press [Find], two companies appear on a list—
You can see many of the details on this columnar view, but if you need to see the full-size details screen for one company, simply double-click on its line.
You might like to try the following searches to see what you would get with them - "f", "v", "ham", [Find]. Were the results what you expected?
You probably guessed that clicking [Find] without typing anything brought up a list of all companies in the database.
If you followed the Whirlwind Tour in the Getting Started, the "Ham" search found Fruit Products, because Enterprise 6 found no match for the company Name, so went on to find David Hamilton as a surname. If you did not follow that section, no records would be found.
