Price table

The ‘Enter to Price Table’ function can be found on all Products menus. By using the Price Tables, you can relate the Products and Companies to the Price Groups.

For example, you could attach a particular Product to a Price Group that represented special pricing for educational establishments. Alternatively, you could create a single Price Table entry for a whole Group or Brand (this would be possible if, for example, all a company's products carried a fixed percentage discount to the educational sector).

In the Sales Price field, you might specifry the special price for this Product to be applied by this Price Table - in other words what your price is when selling to education. If you had previously specified in the parent Price Group record that educational pricing would be a fixed percentage discount, then a field where this percentage could be entered would appear in place of the Sales Price field. The normal Retail and Standard Prices for this Product appear alongside as reminders.

Below this is a facility for applying quantity discounts. If this is required, simply enter here the quantity range between which the discount is to be applied.

Your Price Table entry could be very specific and apply only to the single Company whose Code appears in the Company field. You could, of course, create separate Price Table records for each of your clients (just as you could for each of your Products). However, the true flexibility of the Company field is that it gives you the capability to set up a single discount for a group of Companies (for example, schools) from which you can exclude a single company for a single Product.

Existing Price Table entries can be viewed and modified using the ‘View Price Table’ function on all Products menus.
