Sequences Introduction

The Sequences companion volume adds workflow management capability to the Diary system.

It is based on the premise that any Action may need to generate a succession of other actions, depending on what it is, and how it is resolved - in other words what its Result Code is.

Examples might be:

Logging a new client
  •    Requires a new client information pack to be sent out by admin
  •    Needs a note to credit control to start of the process of credit checking
Arranging an appointment needs to generate
  •  A confirmatory email to the client
  • A reminder to prepare for the meeting two days before
  • A reminder to reconfirm the appointment by phone the same day
Logging a marketing call which has a Result 'Call again in two weeks'
  • Adds the followup call to your diary

Clearly many such examples could found the average organisation. This features also allows the possibility of complex  'tree' structures to be evolved to guarantee consistency and quality control, in line with the organisation's business processes.

Sequences has no menu item as its operation is automatic. There is a section in the Data Manager where they are set up.
