This option only operates if the Diary Manager module and Enquirywriter companion module are installed. It is used to go back to Letters or Quotations previously entered, perhaps to simply view, to reprint, or to continue writing documents started on a previous occasion.
You are shown the Diary selection options, as for 'View Diary', and might, for example, choose all entries for a given Company (type in the first four letters). Remember that because you are searching on the Diary, items may be found which are not at all related to documents (Telephone Calls, Appointments etc). If you want to avoid this, go to the full Selection Criteria and choose the Action Code for letters or quotes (eg MLET or MQTN). If you know the Document Code, then entering this will take you straight to the item you require.
The selected Diary Items (including letters and quotations) are listed to screen, with the normal button options described in the Introduction chapter of the Tutorial manual. Double-click on a line to view, edit or re-print a given document.
If you use the [+] button to create a new record from this list, you will be asked if you want to create a Letter or a Quotation, and then taken to the Document-editing Diary entry screen, with the appropriate Template document in place.
