Mail Attendees is only available if the Events Manager is present. It can be used very effectively to send Letters in bulk to all Attendees on a particular Event (eg a Cancellation Letter or Thank You Letter), or perhaps for marketing purposes to target with a particular mailshot letter all those people who have previously attended specific types of Events.
You are first need to complete the Attendees selection process as for 'View Attendees'. The selected Attendees are displayed as a list. You may select from the list, or perform another search, using the Buttons Palette. Once you are happy with the selection, click [√] to accept it and move on to the next stage. You then need to complete the Print Requirements dialogue box, as described in 'Mail Companies' above.
In the case of Attendees mailing, Labels and Envelopes can be printed for either all the individual Names to whom Letters are written, or just to all the Companies to which they belong, reducing stationery and postage requirements. This choice is made on the Print Requirements box: Companies Only, or All Attendees.
Documents printed using 'Mail Attendees' can utilise the Enterprise variables listed in the 'Mail Companies' section with one difference. The variable «vOurRef» will be made up of the Company Code of the addressee company, the Contact Code of the individual contact and the Document Code, separated by dashes.
