The web server code runs on a single user Daybook application, or on one or more Clients of a Daybook server. Each server should be given its own Personnel record, and a checkbox added to initiate the server on startup.As a lower priority, the code may be adapted to run on the Daybook server itself, but this will generally not be recommended other than for small-scale users.
Additionally, without modification to the web server itself, it may run on a single-user Daybook instance that synchronizes with the normal Daybook instance. The synchronization itself is outside the scope of this plan. The advantages of this approach are that the web server could be located remotely - such as at a hosting site - and that it can be outside the firewall while the normal Daybook system remains within it.
